You typically have 7 working days as a cooling off period to cancel.

O2 won't change it either I'm afraid no matter how hard you try.

You could sell the handset and use the funds to buy another type of phone.

I think as you done it in person you are pretty much stuck.

What phone are you looking to get instead?

Probably your only option is to sell the S4 (ebay, gumtree etc..) and buy the device you want.

You have a 14 cooling off period on O2, so if you received the phone on the 23 September (at the earliest), you would have until the end of today to cancel the contract, or argue that you want to change the handset.

If you purchased the phone before that date, then I'm afraid selling the device to a third-party is your only option.

Does this apply in stores as well as online/telephone?

It's 7 working days to return a phone unless it's faulty.

That's what I thought = 7 working days to return phone and cancel a contract.

14 days if phone us faulty to swap for a new one and after 14 days it's a repair.

Does distance selling come into effect when online @MI5 ?

I believe it has too.... Not 100% on the time allowed though...

I'd go with perksie - he's usually correct on these things.
