My phone seems to be 'playing up'..... I have used my contacts list to get in touch with a person for some DIY ..... Another person altogether is on the other end of the phone = a hairdresser ..... whilst ..... at the top of the screen is a running display of my son's name / local ready meal company I use.

I get home to find a delivery from clothing company Weird Fish, which I did not order =  the 2 items are not my size / not my preferred fabric / just plain wrong ... But ... addressed correctly to me ... ?!

tikTok, which I thought I had deliberately deleted off my phone sends me a message they like my CV (Curriculum Vitae) & want to offer me a 'silly' £ job ... ?!

Wtf is going on ... ?

I know I can be somewhat 'Ditsy' with tech ....... But ....... I am Just Plain Fed Up etc. What a load of Fym ... !

Any help would be gratefully received.

@RunrigForever

Personally, I'd make sure my contacts were backed up to Google and do a factory reset.

When re setting up your phone, be selective about which apps you install and only choose the ones you use.

To factory reset an OPPO Find X5 Lite, you can do the following:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  2. Select the Settings icon
  3. Select System settings
  4. Select Back up and reset
  5. Select Reset phone
  6. Select Erase all data
  7. Select Erase data twice
  8. Wait for the device to restore factory default settings
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the phone

Thank you @ MI5

Easily following your instructions.

However .......

I don't know what my password is ... & ... am guessing what my network is ....... so very sorry to be such a dingbat.

Will it be on some sort of black box near the tv in my living room ?

I do have a notebook near my laptop and another near the tv screen ..... but, no luck

Sorry ..... I seem to find problems easily

@MI5 I have found network & password on SKY box near tv in living room

But no network found is message on phone screen ..... Hotspot name (required)

I have SKY Broadband

Am I somehow confusing tv & phone providers ?

Sorry ....... I know I am a bit dim with tech.

I could do with a light bulb moment.

Sorry for bothering you @MI5

I really don't like to think I'm 'using you' or similar.

Going to have to 'go back' on the phone as I need it today for health reasons.

Thank you again @MI5

Hello @MI5

Have noticed all my contacts have 2 phone numbers = one ending in 09 is in common with them all ?!

Dunno what I've done.

Could not  get Wi-Fi on phone when in town at a few places I tried.

Have Chinese *Spooks* encapsulated my phone ?

Have checked wiring into SKY black box = OK ....... just reference number does not appear on my screen.

Have left phone downstairs, by mistake ....... need to rest as sooo feeble

Will update you later.

btw I carefully did not reference you in my early morning post so as not to disturb you ....... you probably are a businessman and switch off certain electronic devices at night idk ....... my 1 mobile phone is always switched on as would be my Wi-Fi if I could access it.
