Hi, you need to change your settings. Unfortunately 2020 settings request will not work for the S3, so unfortunately you will have to do all this manually... Let me know if you want the mms also, as that also needs changing slight_smile

Please ensure that when entering O2 into the settings that the letter O is selected and not a zero.

When entering the following information do not press Save until told to in the instructions.

  1. Tap Apps
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap More settings
  4. Tap Mobile networks
  5. Make sure that Use packet data box has a tick in it (tap box to change)
  6. Tap Access Point Names
  7. Tap the Menu soft key
  8. Tap New APN
  9. Tap Name and enter O2 Mobile Web then tap OK
  10. Tap APN and enter mobile.o2.co.uk then tap OK
  11. Leave Proxy as Not set
  12. Leave Port as Not set
  13. Tap Username and enter o2web then tap OK
  14. Tap Password and enter password then tap OK
  15. Leave Server as Not set
  16. Leave MMSC as Not set
  17. Leave MMS proxy as Not set
  18. Leave MMS port as Not set
  19. Tap MCC and enter 234 then tap OK
  20. Tap MNC and enter 10 then tap OK
  21. Tap Authentication type and tap PAP
  22. Tap APN type and and enter default, supl then tap OK
  23. Leave APN protocol as IPv4
  24. Leave Enable/disable APN as ticked
  25. Leave Bearer as Unspecified
  26. Tap the Menu soft key
  27. Tap Save
  28. Tap the circle next to the new profile so a green dot appears in it
  29. Press the Back key four times to return to the main menu.

What To Do Next:

Switch your handset off and then back on to complete your settings.

The settings are now complete.

However, if you are still experiencing any issues using this service, please contact O2 Customer Services on 202 . Hope this helps slight_smile

Be aware that sending photos using MMS can get very expensive. Using email or WhatsApp to name but two, are less expensive alternatives, as in free....

No excuse for mms charges in this age, understandable when it was introduced but even then texts were 12p with zero allowance.
Nowadays texts are all free but the good old mms has actually increased in cost to the consumer while the tech that powers it is as old as 256k modems.
