Without insurance it is unlikely to be covered under warranty. As a rule we don't recommend o2 repairers and would suggest you liaise directly with Samsung especially as your phone is only a month old.
They may offer a goodwill gesture? ??

Hi,
Some Bank Accounts provide Insurance as part of their added services.
Its worth checking their T&C's to see if they do and that they provide accidental damage.
Depending on the size and depth of the crack sometimes affixing a screen shield can stop it 'growing' and in some instances hide the crack altogether.
