paying for a phone while mine is in repair

I had to take my phone in to be repaired and was quite surprised that you have to pay a 25 pound deposit , even though the fault with the phone was not my fault. Any one else has any views

Its only a deposit so you dont run of with O2's loan handset.

 

If you had sent your phone directly to the manufacturer instead you wouldnt have even got option of a loan phone.
