Does anyone know when O2 will be updating the z1 compact with kitkat

Hey all, sorry for the delay

The good news is that we have approved our updates for the Z1, Z1 Compact, Z Ultra and Z Tablet. For the phones, these are all KitKat and for the tablet, it is JellyBean. We're awaiting all these going live on PC Companion, with OTA updates likely to be following within a few days to a week afterwards.

Not all are currently available to download but we'll make an official community announcement once these have all gone live. I'll keep you posted.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I've been in discussion with our device team today who are as comitted as ever to bring these latest updates out to these handsets as soon as possible. That being said, I hope to have some further news for everyone tomorrow on this one 😉

I'm also looking forward to the update but have been reading the Sony forums and people have been complaining about issues which concern me like battery life...

And issues with fixing one issue and adding more which makes reluctant especially as my device is already great even with one or two issues which I can live with
