Really struggling with this. Upgraded my phone to the s5 on Monday.. Kept same number but was sent a new sim for 4g. Terrible signal.. Used the online chat and went through everything until finally they told me to try change network and then back to o2.. Genius!! Full bars..sadly this caused the mobile internet to fail but off I went again back onto the online help where they kindly emailed me the details to put into my network settings..that done I restarted the phone and you guessed it.. Signal has gone 😞😩 anyone?

Cycle airplane mode on and off.

You need to remove your 'solution' tag so more members see you still need help.

Possibly a sim swap may need to be carried out due to possible faulty one.

I think if you click solution again it will remove it.
It sounds like the dual use download enhancer isn't working properly or not enabled?

The S5 uses both wifi (when enabled or available) and mobile data and combines the speeds of both services to increase the download speeds.
Check your settings to see what you have enabled and check the signal by switching them on and off.
I'm wondering if your lower signal reading is 4G and the higher reading 3G which if it is, it's perfectly normal wink

Signal doesn't seem to change. Would a complete reset of the phone be any use at all? I turned off mobile data.. Signal remains the same. Only time it gets better is if I try to connect to Vodafone the phone refuses then I connect back to o2 and 5 bars.. But this knocks off the mobile internet.. Which when I put back on thru resetting APN or inserting manually knocks my signal back to 1 bar. Damn confusing

Yes, it is confusing and illogical too tbh....
A factory reset can't hurt if you want to try it....

What download speeds are you getting with your 1 bar?
