Hello O2 support team,  I had an emergency that made me leave the country due to the family reasons.  My contract is running out on 13 of August 2014. Unfortunately , I would need to stay outside the UK, in Kyrgyzstan for quite a while. I would like to keep my UK number and switch from pay monthly to pay as you go. Could you help me with what do I need to do to cancel the contract and switch myself to pay as you go ? Is there any on-line options? I am afraid I am unable to contact o2 on 202..it will cost me a fortune. I am looking forward to your assistance.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Bishkek and Welcome to the forum.

Their are abroad numbers and live chat options to contact O2. They are in here ;

http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Their is no online option to do this yourself and so you have to speak to Cs.

You would need to give 30 days notice near the end of your contract to move ,although SIM cards are account specific. You're going to need a payg one.

More on switching here from Pay Monthly to Payg here http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

Edit ; I've asked for this to be moved to its own thread. :slight_smile:

Hi bishtek

Just to clarify. This is a customer to customer forum (not the O2 support team)

As previously stated you will need to contact O2 CS direct, in order to do anything account related

Hope you get sorted soon

It's free to call cs on your mobile from anywhere in the world :slight_smile:
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
