I bought my son a second hand HTC and put an O2 pay as you go SIM in it. It all works great apart from the Internet... He can't connect at all. Any ideas?

You may need to visit the O2 shop or maybe a standalone cellphone shop or possibly ask a friend / relative with more knowledge to take a look at it.

Can you try the sim in an alternative phone to see if the Internet works ok as a process of elimination.

Hi

Edit : text ACTIVE to 2020
, save the settings and reboot

Also APN s are here http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/articles/o2-apn-settings

I assume they have a data allowance in the tariff and check your masts via http://status.o2.co.uk

Have you checked that the APN's are correct as from the link I added for a windows phone ?

It may be worth phoning O2 to have the imei number of the phone checked to ensure its not been barred.
