Can an O2 employee confirm the day that the Z1 will ship out? (Not to be confused with the release date)

A lot cheaper than on O2 refresh as well as they are charging £600+ for the handset!?

lol Yeah I saw how they sneakily put £40 more than RRP and £80 more than retailers are selling it for tongue

That's another thing that I couldn't figure out - I'm paying £79.99 upfront on the refresh plan - taking my total phone cost to £559.99 - which I didn't think was too bad. However, if I'd decided to pay more upfront - the total phone cost would have been £639.99. Where's the logic in that !? Or am I missing something ?

 

By the way, the user manual is now out - so we can all frequent ourselves with our new phones that may/may not arrive !

i chatted with the online team. got a nice fella and he confirmed that my issue with minutes is just because my bill date is the 18th so thats whats left between switch over and bill date and the full 600 will be applicable from the 18th. we shall see tomorrow!

 

on shipping of xperia's... i got a very washy "it will be dispatched to you soon" couldnt get anything clearer from them. I hope this doesnt drag out and UKmail gets the packages today so that we can get our phones by launch date at least. Given I'm across the water mine will take a bit longer to get here 😞

After finding a lovely little help article that says early upgrades can't be undone I may be stuck waiting. Here's hoping it ships some time soon!

Hi all,

Thought I would add my 2 pence as well.

I'm a new customer to O2 and after web chats with 5 different people, am really none the wiser. I am actually considering sending it all back and keeping my iPhone 4, or at least signing up with another provider. Last thing I was told was that (by Sullivan who thinks its good customer service to berate people) I would be refunded for the days where I did not have the phone and that it would be dispatched tomorrow. That is after I was told it would be dispatched yesterday, and today. Go figure. I find this whole experience pretty appaling so far. Can one of you long term O2 customers confirm if this is what I should expect from O2 over the next 2 years or is it just like this at the start of the contract?

ive been with o2 for years on contract, never on a preorder though. Ive never experienced any issues before and anyone ive ever dealt with has been really helpfull and friendly.

 

My experience so far with this upgrade/preorder is unusal in my experiences but I know that in previous years there has been issues with preorder/new releases at the start of contracts

 

* i think ive checked UKmail over a hundred times today... such a sucker! I really hope we get a good update tomorrow!
