Morning - thought that I'd throw my pennies worth into this discussion - also had the email from O2 yesterday confirming the good news that my Xperia Z1 had been shipped - but so far unable to track the order on UKMAILs website, as it appears that it's still awaiting collection.
Just to add to the mix - my airtime agreement has been transferred over to my new tariff with increased data etc, and presently my poor old iphone 4 has no cellular data connection.
Would just like to know if I'm likely to receive the Xperia Z1 today - as looking forward to getting to grips with it, after having been an iphone user for the last 5 years!

My tracking number won't work on ukmail at all 😞 in my orders it does show as dispatched... Might be because I'm across the water in N.I? My tariff updated yesterday to my new refresh and 3G has stopped working on my phone ( the lady said this would happen)

would really just to like to know if I'm likely to receive the phone today or not, as otherwise the lack of data connection is likely to be an issue

I checked my allowance on my tariff and it says I only have 40mins available this time..... I'm on a 600min contract so that's not right at all, might need to call them but I was on hold for 35mins to even preorder I might just wait it out. I'm not expecting to see my xperia until Friday, if it arrives quicker it's a bonus!

Well, the UKMail website says my order is still awaiting collection; so the likelihood of my receiving the Z1 (or anybody who received the email yesterday) before the 19th is slim...

Also received the email yesterday (new customer) stating it had been shipped and delivery is the next working day (today).
No sign of it - UK Mail tell me they will 100% not deliver today as it is simply not with them.
O2 are telling me (web chat) that it has been dispatched but UK Mail systems are not yet updated....
Not a great start...

I must say I am somewhat disappointed by O2's handling of this, which, given they've had two years to practice since my last update, should not be happening. Firstly, If I receive an email saying my order has been dispatched with an estimated next day delivery, that's what I expect; not to learn later on that it hasn't even been collected yet. (If that means O2 don't email me until UKMail have picked it up, then so be it.)
Secondly, the issues I had with the Livechat 'guru' who actually started arguing with me when I polietly pointed out a discrepancy on the webiste re tariffs for the Z1 didn't help my mood either. (Granted, this second point doesn't have much to do with the order itself, but still...)

Sorry I should have mentioned I had done that - that's where I see the awaiting collection.
O2 haven't really a clue whats going on - trying to chat to sales on the phone now to see if they can shed any light.
The live chat people are useless - which is common for most companies....and a REALLY bad thing, as they are customer facing so should be spot on!

Update from O2 sales and one of their managers.
The web guru chat people have mislead us, they confirmed it had been dispatched but it has NOT as there is nothing to dispatch yet until on....OR AFTER release date of 20th. So may not actually receive them until the 23rd now.
In my case as well I have started to be billed, so my billing started from yesterday for a service I can't even use.

My whole point is that this is again a bit of a farce - I wasn't expecting delivery until the 20th - which was fine, as I understood this to be the 'launch' date. To then receive an email yesterday, stating 'good news - your order has been dispatched' came as a very pleasant surprise. Just as the fact that I now have no cellular data connection & no visual voicemail on my iphone 4. My contract has been switched to my new tariff, which I'm now being billed for and presumably this is why no data connections are working on my iphone 4 - gggrrrr
Come on O2 - get it sorted - before this turns into another new phone launch fiasco (thinking of my iphone 3g back in 2008 - when it didn't connect to O2 for about 1 week!)
