Sent my Samsung Galaxy S3 away for repair under warranty as there was a software problem. O2 Guru told me this was a common problem with the phone and would be fixed under warranty with no charge.
Today I have spoke to the repair centre who said before they can even look at the fault they have to repair the water damage!! First I knew of any water damage, never dropped in water, dont use in bathroom etc.....they said it could of been caused from rain or condensation!! They are wanting £65.99 to repair this....even though it causes no problem with the phones funstion!!
Is there anyway around this??? So frustrated

Yeh I just searched the forum and seen there are others. It drives me mad....end of the day i only have their word for it especially as there were no problems with the phone until this software problem!
Pregnant and hormonal doesnt help me much!!! Grrr

Is there any chance that you had pictures of the phone before you sent it away?
Also, have you got the IMEI number to ensure that the phone you receive back is yours?

It's not just O2 repairs to be wary about - it's sad but not all companies are entirely honest/genuine with regards to these things.
