Unfortunatley, messaging has stopped.

Hi there,

 

Had this message ("Unfortunatley, messaging has stopped") when I try and load up my SMS app (installed on the device as default messenger). It's been happening for about a month when my SIM card then stopped working. I assumed that both were connected so I got a new SIM from O2 and asked them to swap my SIM details across to my new SIM but still my messanger doesn't work.

 

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

 

Any ideas how I can get messaging to work? I can make outgoing calls and use other instant messaging apps but only via internet connection or 3g.

Try using S Voice command to open message app, otherwise download Handcent or GoSMS off Google play. After installing another message app you can delete it again as it often clears the original message app problem.
