HTC One X Camera stopped working

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a HTC One X which has been working find up to today.

The Camera has stopped working. If I press the Camera button it displays a black screen (with all the camera icons) for about 5 seconds and then goes back to the phones home screen.

It also got an odd message on it today about one of my Apps (Supermarket Locator or something like that) being a Virus or Malware, so I uninstalled it hoping it would fix the camera issue but it did not.

Does anyone know what may have caused the issue and a way to fix the camera please?

Sounds like a factory reset is required.

a. It will reset the OS

b. It will remove any trace of the possible virus.

I agree with MI5 - go to settings>backup & reset>reset phone

Ps, - don't tick the delete sd card data box, and back up your contacts etc. first
