We need to establish where the contacts are stored first as Google can't back up sim contacts.....

Hi Rich

Indeed. I assume OP has a new sim. They could save contacts to phone then back up or save to a .csv file and then update that via a pc or laptop to the S5.

I'm thinking the op needs all this is layman's terms !

Indeed BoB

So from the home screen OP needs to click on:
Contacts
Import/Export
Import from Sim card (to phone). This will give the impression in contacts that each entry has been duplicated but not too worry.

If the sim cards are the same size then put the new sim into the s2, go to:
Contacts
Import/Export
Import to Sim.

Contacts copied. Then put new sim into s5.

That's one way to do it

Unfortunately the sim cards are not the same size.....
I think we've done enough until the op comes back - I'm sure all this is confusing 😞

Ok so similar process but instead of import/export to Sim, import/export to .csv file then set up S5. Once done Bluetooth .csv file to S5 and save to contacts?
