Chances are though your Xperia S will see Jelly Bean 4.3 as Sony have announced that certain devices will miss out the 4.2.2 update and go straight to 4.3. So to go from GB 2.3.7 to Jelly Bean 4.3 shows that Sony are looking after their customers. I can't think of any other phone (android) that is almost 18m old is still being kept upto date with New firmware even if O2 are slow at releasing them to the public. Here is a link at how Sony are now managing New firmware if you care to give it a read.:smileytongue :http://developer.sonymobile.com/2013/07/25/explaining-the-software-upgrade-process-and-its-improveme...

Quick update on the Sony Xperia Honami. With its announcement on the 4th of September at IFA in Berlin a release date is likely to be the 30th of September putting it out there with the iPhone 5s I know which one I will be getting ha ha

Thanks for the update.. think I'll now wait until then to see what the Sony Honami price is on O2 Refresh. Also by then the O2 shops might have the Xperia SP available in Black as a secondary (cheaper) option.

Still no Black Sony SP version available, so going to wait until the Autumn now to see prices on the Sony Honami handset and also what 4G tarriff deals there are about.
Think O2 shops should concentrate on stocking the basic colours, as well as exclusive's !

I keep hearing there isn't going to be a Xenon flash on the Honami, I really hope Sony surprises everyone & actually fit's it but if they don't ill give the Honami a miss & wait for it's replacement.
A supposed game changing camera phone without a decent flash seem's pretty pointless.

So here it is confirmation that the Sony Xperia Honami will have a 20.66MP camera as the link I will post below shows the first real camera sample taken by a Sony employee. Anyone getting excited for the unveiling I know I am. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=sony%20honami%20xperia%20blog&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=...

Two thing's I need to know about the Honami before I think about buying one.
1) Does it have a Xenon flash?
2) Can the camera cope with low light sporting event's?
I might even wait for the Honami's replacement next year as Honami seem's a little big for a phone.

Roumor has it that it will either come with a Xenon flash or a high powered single LED (upto 80% brighter than standard LED flash). The Honami will also come with HHT which stands for handheld twighlight mode which gives fantasic low liight images by taking upto 6 images all at different ISO levels and couple this with Sony's superior auto mode for moving objects this creates one high res, low light, high quality image. here is a link to info on HHT http://cameralabs.com/reviews/Sony_Cyber-shot_DSC_HX5/Handheld_Twilight_HHT_results.shtml

Hi all, a while ago I posted the Sony will be releasing some snap-on lenses for the up and coming Honami well good news is here is a leaked promo of the Honami with a snap-on lens and yes that is the Honami being used so no Xenon flash just a high powered LED but who is to say Sony wont release a snap-on flash bulb.:smileyhappy:
