Sony Xperia GO! DO NOT BUY!

Anonymous

Right, I'll probably get in bother for this but I don't care.

I'm outraged at the Customer Service i've recieved from o2 & here's my story.

Recently, I went out and bought the Sony Xperia go, It was great at first then after a month it was off to get fixed with a software problem and the charger slot was broken, Less than 2 weeks after getting it fixed, the charger slot was broken again.

I have only used the charger I was given for the phone yet o2 are expecting me to pay to get it fixed this time..

I don't think that's right, it's a fault with the phone. When I got it back they said the error's were fixed and o2 won't recycle my phone because it won't charge at all.

What's your opinions?

Kinda depends how the charge port was damaged really. If it's not influenced by anything other than normal use I'd stick at it or contact Sony directly about the issue. If you know you have done something that may have damaged it then you'll have to pay to get it fixed.

The pin was bent, I noticed when I got the phone back the cover port wasn't sitting in right, which it used to and it was charging fine then the pin bent again and when it did stop charging, I did use a knife to put the pin in place again and it started charging again which probably didn't help matters any but I was using the charger I got with the phone but even at that, most chargers are designed to fit multiple phones these days.

I'm just really disappointed with the service I recieved. The phone cost me £200 and it seems it's been away getting fixed longer than it's been in my possesion

Sounds like it wasn't fixed properly the first time. If O2 repairers are been awkward go directly to Sony - You'll get a better response from them.

Thanks.

I just don't want to pay any more money than I already have, It's a rip-off.

I was going to get it fixed up and sell it, dropping the price of course but even o2 won't buy the phone back. All of the other xperia's are listed so surely that's saying something right?

To be honest, I think the phone should be discontinued.

I don't have any experience of this model, so unfair of me to comment, but it sounds like you'd be best to get it fixed and sell it on.....

Should I stand my ground and refuse to pay the quote because the damage wasn't fixed in the first place?

It may be a bit late now, but you can try. Alternatively, as I mentioned, go directly to a Sony service centre with it. They will all be listed on the Sony website.
