Good afternoon all,
This one is specifically for our Sony M2 and M2 Aqua users. We recently launched a new software update under version 18.3.1.C.1.15. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen issue that wasn't spotted during ours or Sony's own tests, this update has subsequently been postponed.
The issue is that there's a possibility the M2 could freeze and the only way to recover it is to follow these steps:
To clarify, this issue isn't impacting all users so if you've already installed this update and noticed no issues, there's nothing to worry about. For any affected users, Sony is working on a new update to fix this and they expect to send this to us for testing week commencing 15th June, which we aim to test and launch as soon as we're happy this issue is resolved.
We're sorry for any frustration this may cause any affected customer, but we assure you we do all we can during our tests to minimise issues like this occuring. Unfortunately due to the nature of software testing, sometimes bugs/issues aren't seen until it's "out in the real world". We hope you understand, and we hope to have a fix released as soon as possible.
