Sim not working

I have put my new SIM card into my new iPhone 12 mini but I have no network at all just the 4 empty bars at the top right.
I cannot text or make calls so cannot contact o2. My iPhone has successfully swapped over from my ops one it’s just my SIM card that isn’t working. I cannot receive a text to activate it through o2???

Is your old sim still working? If so use that.
