Samsung S3 Accuweather app and 4.3 update

Hi

Suddenly out of the blue this evening my accuweather widget is not working. keeps telling me network connection error - unable to connect to server; please check your network connection. 

If I uninstall accuweather and just use the pre-installed app/widget it works fine but the proper app is just not working. Can anyone help? I'm connected to my home wi-fi - all other apps etc work fine, have even switched mobile data on and wifi on and both on but no joy. 

Any help?

Also - is the 4.3 android update available for the S3 - my android version says it is 4.1.2 in the about device section but tells me that all updates are already done....

4.3 is not available for O2 branded phones yet.
I guess there must be an issue with the weather app servers.
Try rebooting the phone to see if it helps.

yeah, tried that, tried re-installing the app to no avail. I know it's not a big thing since I have the pre-loaded basic accuweather one but prefer the actual app you can download from the google play store... neither the installed widget nor the app is working.. and it's just one of those things that's really annoying and you want to know why it's not working when there's no good reason!!

Try another like the BBC or Met Office apps:

You can always switch back when yours starts behaving again.
