Samsung Galaxy S2 stuck on boot screen

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

Please can someone help with my Samsung Galaxy S2 GTI900 which has been stuck in a boot loop (Samsung logo to o2 bubbles). I have removed the s2 card since but I have things on the phone which I do not want to lose (contacts etc).

I have gone into recovery mode (volume up, home and power) and now have the following options:

- reboot system now

- apply update from sd card

- wipe data/factory reset

- wipe cache partition

Which is the safest option for me to use without losing anything from the phone? Obviously not option 3 but I am unsure as to whether to reboot or wipe cache partition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @MI5  I was about to give the link from your Odin guide in the Help topics...but I notice that isn't 3.09 version. So I need to check if that needs updating please?..

Sorry if that is a dumb question...but I need to learn in case you are unavailable again...LOL

The link should give you the latest versions of Odin (now up to v3.10 I think).
Always try the latest and work backwards if you encounter any problems.
