Hi, I am writing to you in desperation.
My Galaxy A50 android phone has suddenly ---possibly from 5th October---stopped sending SMS Texts.
Texts"in" though are O.K. Whats At etc , and every other facility on the phone is O.K.
I have been to 2 O2 units in Bournemouth and after 2hours they have not been able to find the solution to this problem.
Please tell me what I have to do to correct this fault. Obviously this has not happened before to me but I am amazed and disappointed that the people I have been to already have not been able to sort my phone.
Your earliest attention to this problem would be much appreciated.
My current contract finishes in 8 months and I would like to stay with 02 and an updated Galaxy phone if this current problem is easily settled.
Thank you John Stout [Personal details removed]

It is likely you need to clean dust from the sim tray or that itself. Also perhaps the sms messaging service was down or the the settings have become corrupted. You would need to eliminate all possible causes before reporting this is a network wide fault.
