Problem samsung galaxy S4mini

Anonymous

The lock and main buttons on my S4 mini have stopped working and I keep getting random screens pop up. I have only had the phone a few months. Any ideas on what to do?

Take a back up of the phone (or copy anything you want to keep to your PC or SD card) then do a factory reset from recovery menu.
This will wipe the phone and restore to factory settings.
With phone off hold together Vol Up + Home + Power keys.
Let go when phone loads bootloader menu.
Navigate to Reset/Clear User Data with Vol down key and press power key.
Press power key when the screen returns to reboot the phone.

What a wealth of knowledge you hold @MI5 slight_smile

To the OP I'm sure what has been advised will help. However if you still have the same issue and other remedies don't work ,then seek assistance from the phone manufacturer before approaching o2's repair services.

Hope all settles for you.

It will help if it's a software issue.
If it's hardware it will have to go in for repair - Those faults all together indicate water damage to me 😞
