O2 insurance

I sent my damaged Samsung Galaxy S4 to O2 insure to make a claim. That was four weeks ago. Three long phone calls later, I am not really any further forward. They cannot find my handset..something about dispatch numbers....how long does something like this typically take to get resolved?

Forever with O2 unfortunately! If you have pursued this through cs and got no where you need to raise a complaint.

It certainly shouldn't take four weeks. This is a customer to customer forum, so I don't think anyone here will be able to help you get this resolved. You're just going to have to persevere with phoning them. If it's been four weeks already, and they can't find your phone, they should be offering to provide you with a replacement, I would think, but that's only a personal opinion.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

You need to find out what exactly "something about dispatch numbers" refers to. It's their problem to chase up not yours. Remember you pay them for this service and expect some action.

4 weeks is far to long..  You need to be calling them again. It's their problem not yours.

I doubt I would have waited for 4 weeks if honest. Its far too long to be without a phone. As said....if it has been lost in transit. they should be chasing it up...
