Nougat for Galaxy Edge S7

Hi there,

I noticed i wasnt able to sign in to the Nougat Samsung Beta Program on my O2 Edge S7.

So wanted to know when Nougat will be coming to the O2 S7 Edge devices please?

He'll get it first then, in theory. But anyone with an o2 phone may have to wait longer.

We're in the process of testing and all going well, we hope to send it back to Samsung this week for them to schedule it for release to our customers. Once returned, we typically expect it to take around 1-2 weeks (usually sooner) before it starts getting pushed out to customers so it won't be long, guys.

If you have bought an o2 contract but got it unlocked would you still have to wait for o2 to release the update or would you get it sooner

You would still need to wait for o2 to release software as the phone is still using the o2 csc despite being unlocked

*#1234# will give you your CSC.
If it shows O2U or TEF then you're on o2 firmware and need to wait until your version is released.
Lock status means nothing to firmware updates, only the CSC.

Good news,

Today our device team have submitted their approval for the S7 & S7 edge Nougat update so hopefully it won't be too long before you see it reach your devices.

At this stage we'd typically expect it to take around 1-2 weeks, but it can be quicker so definitely keep your eyes peeled
