Nexus 5x not showing all files when connected to PC

I got a Nexus 5x a couple of weeks back, and I have notived that when I plug it into my PC to move files off it, when I go to the Download folder my PC only shows the most recently downloaded file(s).

 

For example - I downloaded some paperwork yesterday and moved it onto my work PC when I got there. Today, I downloaded a new set of paperwork, but when I plug the phone into the same PC, it only shows the files from today. Yesterday's files don't show up. They are still on the phone but I can't access them from my PC.

 

Any help?

Must be a Nexus thing as my phone will show all files.
Maybe you have a setting in options to "Show All", "Show New" etc?
