My O2 app help

Anonymous
Not applicable

Today i just got the Samsung Galaxy S3 and when i signed up for the phone they said you can download the My O2 to keeps track of you're bundles such as Mins, Texts and mobile connection.

So i got my username and password through and i went to log into the app and the app error message i get is..

"Unable to identify wheather the mobile number is valid (Code 2)"

Well my number is fine because i test to call my sister number and it work and she called me and it was fine.

but then i go to Settings > About device > Status > My phone Number

It's saying "Unknown"

Any reason why??

Why can't i log into My O2 app??

I have the same problem only on o2, it usually comes from having 2 myo2 accs, but i've merged them and still have the same problem! Reinstalled app etc, still not allowing me to log in.

Hi,

Does your SIM card have a PIN lock..?  If 'yes' I'd be curious to know if the problem goes away if you remove the lock.  Granted it may return if you re-enable the SIM PIN but at least you'll be on the right track.

My phone is sim PIN locked and I don't have any trouble with the app, albeit I installed it first time no probs as a new customer to O2, so it may be that initial download / registering details that is being problematic. Might be one for the 'Gurus;!

Aye, I have a SIM PIN and using the O2 app fine too, but it's interesting how the OP's phone in Settings can't see the number either.  It's as if the PIN is blocking something regardless of being keyed in.  I'll bet 1 pence that removing the PIN (if there is one) will see progress slight_smile
