Regarding Unlocking while abroad this is the official info given to me.
"Can I unlatch while abroad?
Yes, the only condition is the customer must have both the O2 active SIM and another network active SIM with them to perform unlatching."
No need for an O2 sim - It has no role in the final unlatching process at all.
