Hello i am just wondering if anybody else has had a problem with these adaptors ? I went to my local o2 shop and they gave me one, i put it in my sony experia ray phone and it was a very tight squeeze. I took it back out to check it and its ripped 3pins off the card reader ! So now i have no phone its going to cost me to get it fixed , Went back to O2 they said theyve never heard about this and said i should take it up with Sony. I cant say im impressed at all so has anybody else had this problem :((

I had a problem with my phone constantly losing signal, and the suggestion was made that i changed the sim. I went into an O2 store and within 10 minutes walked out with a (free) replacement sim already connected to O2 and working.

If O2 can do this, I don't know why they would suggest or endorse a riskier alternantive of sticking something in your phone that the manafacturer never intended it to accept?

I had a similar problem when using one in my old Nokia 6500, although I did manage to get it out without damaging the phone - more by luck than judgement I have to say.

Personally I would advise against using these adapters, especially when it's so quick and easy to get a replacement sim - your local O2 store usually have normal/micro sims in stock or you can order them online, and sim swap can also be done online, usually takes less than an hour!

I've never used one but always thought they looked a bit iffy.... I definitely won't be using one now....

Hi , further to my message ive just had an email from Sony they say they dont make adaptors and shouldnt b used in a Sony phone. I think they should let all phone shops know so they dont hand them out willy nilly to unsuspecting customers like me :((
