MMS Not Coming Straight to Phone - via website

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me with this incredibly annoying issue.

Whenever someone sends me an MMS, it doesn't come straight through to my phone. Instead, I have to go through the O2 website with a link being sent to me from O2_ALERT. How can I ensure that MMS' come to my phone?

I had thought maybe it was a problem with my settings, but I can send MMS' with no problems. I tried texting "ACTIVE" to 2020 but nothing comes through, and the O2 website for settings is a disgrace (http://www.o2.co.uk/support/generalhelp/howdoi/getphonesettings). I click any other phone, and it just tells me to text as above.

I'd be incredibly grateful if someone could help me out with this.

Cheers!

George

Hi guys thanks for the quick reply!

I have an S3 and have tried going to my netwrk settings. Under APNs here are two options O2 web (which has a green circle next to it) and O2 MMS. Both are greyed out when I go into their settings though. In any case, there is no IP address listed there.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

On the S3 it's called MMS Proxy.
