Lost phone

I left my phone on the train the other day and is has not been handed in by a kind soul. I rang O2 the same evening and they 'deactivated' the SIM. Is there any way I can ring this phone and appeal to the person's better nature to hand it in? There are lots of photos on it I don't want to lose going back a couple of years. I would even offer a reward for handing it in though I guess that would be practically difficult to arrange.

@dispudet

The phone and sim are now barred so it won't connect in anyway.

You need to claim off any insurance or buy a new phone now.

O2 will send you a new sim in the post.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If the sim card has been deactivated then it won't be able to receive normal calls @dispudet .

Not sure if iMessage/FaceTime would work.

Did you not have a "find my phone" set up, or an account to sync photos to (Apple or Android)?

Thanks @gmarkj and @MI5. Regrettably, I didn't set up a synch. Just one of those things I never got round to. Paying the price for it now. Just trying to recover what photos I have shared via WA.

You might have something set up even if you didn't realise @dispudet

Was it an Android phone and did you sign up/in to a gmail account?

Log in online, and check the Photos app. Fingers crossed you might be surprised...
