Lollipop update for note 3

Anonymous
Not applicable
It seems that the more we pay on our contracts with O2, the less information we get. I want to know today please where the lollipop update is, and when it will roll out for us or I will go to someone who has it, it is an update that is available to everyone, not just Vodafone and Orange, everyone. So get your acts together and get the job done o2, and reply today with the proper information and links to download!!

@Chris_K any sign of Android Lollipop for the Note 3 yet please? I have what was an o2 branded device that was unlocked then flashed with sim free firmware.

Thanks

You need to ask Sammy mate - you should get it before O2 devices now

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

No new info yet but i'll be sure to update this thread as and when I get any new info from our device team. hat being said though, if you're on a non-O2 firmware you may have trouble finding any updates if the device detects that it has been modified (Settings > General > About > Status). If device status is "custom" then it could be an issue for you. You won't be on the O2 update channel anymore either so once the Lollipop update does arrive, your phone won't see it. If the device status doesn't say custom (I'm afraid I forget what the default/official status is) then you'll likely be on the Samsung direct update channel.

edit: Generally speaking when it comes to devices running custom ROM's/firmwares, updates become a manual process - you no longer get OTA updates. Depending on how you've modified this, you may need to go through manual software updates by flashing newer roms but I'm afraid it's not something we can help with due to the risks involved in causing damage to the device.

Good job not tripping the Knox protection 😉 Due to the nature of non-official firmwares it's difficult to say for certain but I think it looks like you should be good for the official Samsung direct update when it arrives.
