Could anyanybody tell me why I have just bought a Samsung 2 mini but when I try to make a phone call I keep getting a pad lock on my phone and restricted calls can anyone help

Might be a bar on your account, you need to contact cs on 202 unless our Samsung experts @MI5 or @jonsie can suggest anything

Have you either activated your sim card or done a sim swap?
Is it contract or payg?
If payg have you topped up the sim with credit?

Have topped up phone and I think phones been activated can send texts but can't phone out or go on to the internet.

Bit surprised at that Rich...I thought  it could be texts and calls working but not data which would indicate 'a problem' ...?? I live and learn...
