Anyone else on here having problems with the S5 since the new lollipop upgrade?  My mum installed the update about a week after it came through on my handset and both of us are experiencing the same problems. Any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.  (Have already done a factory reset)

Screen freezes - have had to remove the battery a few times to get it to reboot

All handset functions seem alot slower than before

Handset getting hot

Battery life dreadful - seem to be charging my handset twice a day otherwise the battery drains completely

Error message - Unfortunatley contacts have stopped

mobile data and wifi both really slow

After looking online it seems that there are alot of people experiencing the same problems but so far I have been unable to find anywhere that gives any positive info regarding this being fixed

At the moment, without wanting to jinx myself, I am going to say it seems to be working ok now.
The only thing I did do after searching online for a solution, is disable Google + after still receiving the error - Contacts have stopped working.

Fingers crossed, so far its ok

Have you found that since the second update BBC iplayer and the BBC media player have stopped working? It freezes up on mine without playing any video.

I dont use bbc iplayer, not on my phone anyway so cant comment im afraid. Its certainly quicker than it was and so far all the other problems seem to have disappeared. Have you had 2 updates? My first one was where the problems started. 2nd one has hopefully done the trick

I would delete the apps and re download them.

Hi Mi5, yeah I've tried that, even went as far as a full factory reset thinking maybe it was down to the Samsung update that came OTA yesterday, sadly hasn't fixed it, no BBC videos from iplayer or the sport app will play and the BBC media player that plays them just shows a blank screen then freezes and crashes. Be interested to know if it's just my S5 or not...
