If O2 aren't updating B131 for the P9 Lite it would seem that Huawei can't differentiate between certain body parts.

@Chris_K so is it worth pulling the SIM Card then and tryinig a manual update to see if it pulls the updates down?
If you got the device from the likes of CPW, it won't matter what SIM (or no SIM) you have inserted as the device will still report to Huawei that it's on the 'open market' update path - the customisation scripts I speak of are 'transparent' and won't intefere or change the update path. So if you don't currently see any available updates, inserting a different network SIM or removing the SIM shouldn't change anything.

I'm confused as to why I've not had the update already though as it suggests on a previous post that I should have as it's direct from O2. Why does it suggest that I'm on an open market/cpw build number? Can anyone shead some light for me?

"Thank you for contacting Huawei UK Customer Support.
Regarding your query, if you have purchased an open-market, European device that is intended for UK, we can confirm that the update process is still on-going at the moment.
The Android Nougat update is being released in batches, based on a random list of IMEI numbers, which is why we cannot provide an exact timeframe for when your device will receive it.
The software update should arrive OTA so make sure to check the HiCare app from time to time, as that is where you will receive the notification for the update.
Also, please make sure the Hi Care app is running on its latest version available.
Hope the above information is of assistance, however, should any other questions arise, please do not hesitate to contact us."
They must be updating 5 handsets a day or something! It's all just waiting on Huawei for us folks on a P9 running B182. Maybe they'll give us Oreo instead! ;-).

Huawei have confirmed that my P9 Lite with build B131 is "open market". And they have also confirmed that they have no available update. 😞

Likewise, I don't think I'll be getting another one. 8 months and still waiting. Shocking behaviour from Huawei. Maybe it will arrive in time for Christmas, though I'm not saying which year.
