Fresh update today from our device team - the P9 Plus update has been approved and return to Huawei for scheduling. We're hoping you'll see this as an available update within the next couple of weeks slight_smile

Hi @Chris_K, do you know if the update will be available for P9's running software version C432B182? My wife's P9 Plus on O2 has received the update but my P9 still hasn't, despite the software being approved about a week earlier.

I updated my P9 as soon as the update became available for my phone last Friday and I have had nothing but endless issues.

Firstly my mobile signal is constantly droppping out (and I get a message saying emergency calls only). This happens between every thirty seconds to a few minutes and can last for as little as a couple of seconds to about 30 seconds.

Before anyone says this might be due to network issues, it is not. My phone worked fine before the update and then as soon as it rebooted I've had this issue. Also my partner has a P9 Lite (not yet updated) on the same network and same location as she has absolutely no issue.

Secondly my phone battery is now awful, it runs down about twice as quickly as it did prior to this update with all settings, apps, and usage the same.

Thirdly, my phone is constantly freezing up. Apps randomly close and more often than not when I push the unlock screen button the phone freezes and I am unable to gain access to my phone until it resolves itself. This happens dozens of times a day and again, was not an issue before.

I have done a full factory reset of my phone and all of these issues still persist. My phone, no longer functions like a £400 flagship device simply because of the nougat update and the inability to access my phone or use network features properly ruined my phone.

How does this get fixed?

It will have to be sent in for repair.
Your choice of O2 or by contacting Huawei direct.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the answer. 😞

How does an update break a phone? I wonder how many other people this has affected.

You're the only one we've had reported here.
Have you Googled it to see if others have reported it with any fixes?

Could someone who has updated to version 7 Noughat, please confirm the Build number of this O2 Update.

The old one is C432B182, what is the new one. I believe the last 3 digits change.

Thanks in advance.
