O2 have supplied a European plug for UK use with a new phone. Is there a way I can ask O2 this question directly without spending 30 plus minutes waiting on the phone??????

Not really, unless you go into an O2 store. It's obviously been sent in error, so you'll have to get it changed.

I've not heard of that happening for a long time.
You could ask if your local O2 store can supply you the standard Uk Charger for you to pick up or have one posted out.
Let's hope they don't want the whole thing back !
