Got the new HTC One the other day, anyone have any idea if its locked to O2?

I would think it's probably dependent on where you bought it. Easiest option would be to try another network sim.

 

Does it have the O2 splash screen on startup?

If it starts up with an O2 picture there's a good chance it's locked to O2. You can also check in the Settings >About device details and see if the CID references "O2"

yeah looks like its locked, ill check it with another sim later but not holding out much hope. Be in America all summer too so have to see about unlocking it before i go
