My mobile internet works when it wants to, which is not all that often. Most of the time loading webpages just times out, messages on Facebook messenger just returned undelivered. The 3G coverage in my area is very strong as I live in city centre. I've reset my network settings, I've manually entered new network settings as per the live chat operator. I've taken it to the shop for them to look at it who again just reset the settings, and now I've written to O2 after 2 months of my new phone barely working as it should. I never had this problem with my HTC Desire, but since I upgraded to the One in June, my mobile data has been terrible. I can only really use it reliably on wi-fi. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a smartphone.
Wish I'd have gone with Orange.
So, what other options do I have to get this fixed? I feel like I've exhausted every other option.

I don't have any problems with my One but I would suggest you try contacting Htc direct for the repair/replacement as o2 repairs are known to be very unreliable

It does look as if your APN settings could be incorrect, compare yours with the ones here:
You could also try another sim and then send it for repair if that doesn't help.

Checked those settings above. They are slightly different to what I have been given by the O2 shop and live chat operators, but still give the same results. Just constant loading and then timing out.
Strangely, I have 4 work mates who have the same phone as me on O2 and are all having the same problem as me. O2 claim that the 3G coverage in the centre of Aberdeen is as good as anywhere else. What are the chances of all 4 of us having HTC One phoness that need to be repaired because the mobile data doesn't work (but everything else does)? Logically, it seems like a network problem, but then I don't really know anything about this sort of suff.
How do I send it off for repair? Do I conact HTC directly, or do O2 have to deem it in need of repair first? If it's faulty, doesn't my O2 insurance cover that? Isn't that what I'm shelling out £12.50 a month for?

You're right it's a network issue so hopefully it will soon be fixed for you.
You can check the network for faults with your full postcode here:

I've been having this problem every day since I upgraded in June. Have Aberdeen been having problems for nearly 3 months...?

That's not likely. I would try a new sim card from your O2 store or call customer service. If that doesn't improve the signal I would suspect a hardware fault.

Five people affected here jonsie!
I would wait until the fault is fixed.

I'm thinking 5 affected now with the mast problem but if the OP has had problems since June, maybe sim or phone related. Seems to be a problem with this particular handset looking through the forum.
