Hi I got a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge today from the O2 store.
Once I got home, I went to open it and noticed that the seal had been broken.
On opening the box I noticed that there was a finger print on the box.
I was annoyed at first, then checked everything else and everything seems ok...
I I set the phone up etc and thought it will be ok.
However now it is bugging me, got the phone 3 days before release and why was it opened?!?!
On the seal it says "Do not accept if seal is broken. Caution sealed package. If seal has been broken or tampered with, do not give clear receipt unless contents are examined in presence or delivering agent".
It is really annoying me now, I may take it back and cancel the contract as in 14 day period; unless they give me another handset which is sealed!
What do you think?

You know whats even more fishy; when I phoned to order the phone earlier on today...
I got told that fingerprints on the handset are from Samsung and the seal's break while in transit; also that's a known problem 😕

Do they think you are missing a few brain cells @Anonymous Never heard such rubbish. I bet Samsung would be delighted to hear they are sending out flagship phones covered in fingerprints...(allegedly)

Some people at O2 are missing brain cells for sure.
He said that he can't guarantee that the handset would be sealed;
so I said I will check it before signing/accepting it... and he was ok with that

And you should do just that @Anonymous Someone else did the same as you and the phone was fine. It doesn't matter if the courier has to wait while you check...this is partof their job when delivering mobile phones.

Some advisers are just plain making it up as they go along.

My seal was broken as well, on my replacement S7 phone after the first one had issues, was told they would send me a second replacement phone? becoming a joke now. Does anyone know if I can get a refund as I've not been able to use my phone since Friday 11th and have to wait another 3-4 days for the new replacement.
