Solved: Galaxy S3 phone number

HI All

I've just activated a pay as you go sim in my sons old S3. However the phone number it shows in settings, status is a different mobile number. Can I change it ?

Only by putting your sim into a phone that will write to the sim card (iPhone for example or older Nokia, Blackberry).
The phone will read the number off the sim or if no number present on the sim, will display the last read number.

Apart from aesthetics this affects nothing. So don't panic
