I did a search but couldn't find anything.
It's reported Samsung will release this in Nov. Any idea when we'll get it on O2 S2 phones?
Cheers,
Paul.

I'll give O2 until the start of next week, if they aint got it sorted by then, I'll cancel my contract and go elsewhere
There is only O2 & Orange with the P model in the UK and Orange haven't released yet either. If you want freedom from having to wait for networks buy the phone SIM free or at least unlock your current phone and flash the standard ROM, if you don't need the NFC function....

pay em? Not a chance......I'll just cancel the DD, job done, lol
Sick of this nonsense everytime an upgrade is due, O2 are a joke, simples
I'm sure you are joking so I won't point out the pitfalls in cancelling your DD

I know I was going to say that is another can of worms, would they not go chasing after you?!

it worries me when people say this. Do not cancel your direct debit, only you lose out in the long run. O2 will just sell your debt to a collection agency and your problems will just escalate from there.

Exactly what I did. P model, not fussed about temporarily losing NFC ability, requested unlock code from O2 and used a spare Vodafone SIM to actively unlock my phone, downloaded ROM and Odin, reading/homework, batteries charged, glass(es) of wine, off we go... job done

How did you get the unlock code from O2?
I've read up on the Odin stuff, looks probably beyond me to be honest.
For the unlock code I had a sniff around the O2 website and found a link/form to use. Once submitted it notified me it could take 28 days to happen but within 48 hours I had it. With regard to Odin and the whole DIY process it really is straight forward. Once you've downloaded Odin and the ROM package you effectively hold a few buttons on the S2 to get it into the right mode, run Odin, choose the ROM and press the start button.
Granted you need to give thought to a backup of your phone's files before and any post-update button pressing to get any settings how you want them, but it really is straight forward. What's nice is there's also no hacking/rooting needed and with the ROM direct from Samsung there's no O2 bloatware installed.
