Do I need to insert a new SIM card for an upgrade?

Hi all,

 

I have recently upgraded my O2 phone from Samsung J5 (2017) to a Samsung A21S which I received yetserday. I am keeping my number and I am going to download the Smart Switch App so I can transfer my data over to the new handset.

 

I am a bit confused as they have sent me a new SIM but I always though you transferred your old one over if you were keeping the same number? Plus the little drawer on the side of the phone that you release appears to have space for more than one SIM. Do I use my old SIM fromn the J5 or both?

Hi @SJF

You just need to use your old sim in the handset.

I would keep the new sim in a drawer somewhere as you dont need it slight_smile

The second slot is for an SD card so make sure you put your old sim in the correct slot.

Hi,

 

So if I just put the old SIM in the empty chamber nearest the phone as it goes in?

 

Could you please tell me what the other spaces in the cartridges are for?
