Cannot update software on new Xperia Go

Trying to update from 6.0.B.3.162 to .184

Update center on phone says 6.0.B.3.184 is Ready to download

Have tried both Sony Update Service and PC Companion but neither work.

SUS - told that software has downloaded, to disconnect and update will continue on device but nothing happens

PCC - downloads update, asks me to connect phone but computer doesn't recognise it and system hangs (even though it identified phone earlier in process).

Any ideas or will I have to go into O2? Thanks

1st question i must ask...... did u interupt the update?

if u did u may have to send it off for repair.

personally i didnt hear about those handsets geting an update. was it to jelly bean or to ICS?

P.S.

if the fone turns on ok, maybe do a back up (go via computers in start and read it as a hard drive, then copy paste to a new folder.)

then do a factory reset, you may find, that the syste, will recognise you and let u do the update again. but dont ever interupt an update.
