Backing up contacts and photos etc

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I am a complete novice. I own an HTC Desire s and have recently purchased a Samsung S3. How/where do I back up my photos etc and then how do I transfer them to my new mobile. Am I able to save it to my SD Card? I will reiterate I am a complete novice. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You should have an app on your phone similar to a file explorer which will list all your photos, vidoes and any other files you have on the internal phone memory. From within this app you can copy and paste them all to your SD card, then just swap cards over to your new phone. Other options include an app from Google Play such as "MyPhoneExplorer" (there are many others) which will back up your data to your PC for you.
