BT Home Hub 5

Anonymous
Not applicable

Last Monday we installed a new BT Home Hub 5. Ever since we have found that calls on our Samsung S4's are suffering from voice break up. We can hear the caller perfectly well but our voices are distorted and break up. Is this just coincidence of can the wifi signals from the router be effecting our phone signal ?

Well I've not heard of a router affecting a mobile phone.

Have you tried changing wireless channel and or turn the hub off to see if your phone improves.

I have the home hub 4 with no issues.

Check your service status http://status.o2.co.uk/

It is probably just coincidence and may be the phone itself.

Try a soft  and or hard reset of the phone but make a back up first, and ensure no lint/dust is in the microphone.

Try your sim in an alternative phone if one is available to see if it is your primary phone at fault.
