There is a phone mast location on the coverage checker yo258ts

But when I went there in person there was no phone mast there and coverage was poor

Why would o2 but a phone mast location on the coverage checker if there isn't one there

Thanks

Not sure, and the checker says good signal.

Signal wise the maps are computer generated and may not be totally accurate

As to the mast, I don't know the location but it might not be a traditional pole mast

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Jp111 The coverage checker is a guesstimate. This is what it says at the bottom of the page:

'This map is just a guide and does not guarantee signal coverage.'

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Looking on Google I notice a high proportion of holiday parks. Often these are areas of high use due to people not having Internet or WiFi. That will degrade the reception

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

See if this map reflects what you are seeing in the O2 representation, @Jp111 : https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/

There are other apps, MastData.com being one, that gives actual mast locations and planned locations, but it needs a subscription to get the best results.
