Hey all,

We see some of you have already spotted this but we wanted to confirm that the TU Go app & service will be ending on 30th November. We’ll be notifying all customers that have the TU Go app about this from today, Tuesday 17th October, through to Friday 20th October.

While TU Go is ending, we’re continuing to offer alternative calling options for our customers. More information can be found here. As VoWifi (Voice over Wifi, part of our Wifi and 4G calling capabilities) continues to develop, we’re working with our vendors to expand the selection of handsets that we offer with Wifi and 4G calling capabilities. A full list of currently supported devices can be found here, where we will also add future devices when they’re available.

If the device you’re currently using doesn’t support Wifi and 4G calling, you can check the My O2 app or get in touch with our customer service team (202 from an O2 Pay Monthly mobile, 8002 from O2 Business mobile) to see what upgrade options are available to you.

We recommend that all TU Go users make copies of any stored messages or images that they have saved on the TU Go app, as the app won’t be accessible from 1 December.

A thank you
We know that some of our O2 Community members helped test the TU Go app during beta trials and provided varied and fantastic feedback which helped our team shape the app, add new features and fix any bugs. We hope you’ve enjoyed using TU Go, and again want to thank anyone from the O2 Community that helped us.

More information on the closure of TU Go can be found here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

Hi @goatty2uk there are many threads on the forum complaining about the loss of TuGo. Main one here

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/TU-Go-is-closing-30th-November/m-p/1080020#M20904

WiFi calling is only available on certain handsets and yours isn't one of them sadly. You may wish to make a complaint https://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

My chat transcripts have been removed for showing too much information and the advisor's names. I think they should be on here in some form though as they are either good news or lies so here's a cut down version:

That's clear enough @andylloyd0808 and no need for anyone to remove the chat. There is no personal information ie names showing at all

Well you obviously are not a TU GO user as none of these apps get even remotely close to the functionality that O2 are about to take away.

Just looked up my phone and it isn't compatible - what did I expect!

It's not even 2 years old and I'm only just 18 months into contract.  I have a Sony Z5 Compact.

Need an alternative guys!

I certainly ain't going for a new phone yet.  The one I have has 32gb and a 32gb card and is plenty good enough.

Big problem as always is the crap O2 network signal in my area, which I have continually complained about.  I live just less than a mile off the A55 between Conwy and Bangor in an urban area.  By the state of the signal, you would think I lived in the middle of the Sahara Desert or Antartica.  I watch programs on TV of places in earthquake devastated zones like Nepal and they have a better signal than us.

O2 should roll out more compatible phones before they shut TU Go down and get a seamless transition.

I have a heart condition, I cannot be without contact.  My life depends on it!

I urge everyone posting on these TU threads to make a complaint

https://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

And let's also inundate the O2 CEO with emails. Let him know the depth of anger expressed on here. Just Google CEO O2 and you will find the email address of Mark Evans. Leave a daytime contact number and if anyone gets new information post back here.

I'm not familiar with EE.  Will my Sony Z5 Compact work with the Wifi calling and texting on their network?

I would gladly move over, but on SIM only.  I haven't even finished paying for this phone yet - I'm only just 18 months in on my contract.

I cannot do without the alternative of Wifi calling.  The signal of any of the networks in our area, even though we are most definitely urban, is extremely poor.

Having health issues, I cannot be without it.
