Hey all,
We see some of you have already spotted this but we wanted to confirm that the TU Go app & service will be ending on 30th November. We’ll be notifying all customers that have the TU Go app about this from today, Tuesday 17th October, through to Friday 20th October.
While TU Go is ending, we’re continuing to offer alternative calling options for our customers. More information can be found here. As VoWifi (Voice over Wifi, part of our Wifi and 4G calling capabilities) continues to develop, we’re working with our vendors to expand the selection of handsets that we offer with Wifi and 4G calling capabilities. A full list of currently supported devices can be found here, where we will also add future devices when they’re available.
If the device you’re currently using doesn’t support Wifi and 4G calling, you can check the My O2 app or get in touch with our customer service team (202 from an O2 Pay Monthly mobile, 8002 from O2 Business mobile) to see what upgrade options are available to you.
We recommend that all TU Go users make copies of any stored messages or images that they have saved on the TU Go app, as the app won’t be accessible from 1 December.
A thank you
We know that some of our O2 Community members helped test the TU Go app during beta trials and provided varied and fantastic feedback which helped our team shape the app, add new features and fix any bugs. We hope you’ve enjoyed using TU Go, and again want to thank anyone from the O2 Community that helped us.
More information on the closure of TU Go can be found here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

There's just no common ground here. Some are given free, some for £90 and some for £180.others are declined. I would be taking this right to the top man.

Well I complained to TU 02 and the response I got was a long winded load of nonsense just confirming that I'm *bleep* off! And their so called upgrade is great (REALLY!) but you can install apps that only allow your friends to message you (USELESS) or leave 02. Leave 02 was the only thing that made sense to me!

After two calls with O2's Customer Services to try close my contract, the only answer that I have received is that because I can make/receive calls where I live, I’m NOT allowed to leave the contract free of charge and instead, they wanted to charge me a hefty amount to be able to leave O2! Crazy!
I used Tu-Go for three weeks non-stop at the end of October due to no-signal but, for them, this is not a valid reason to be allowed to leave my contract. Their Customer Services was terrible, unfriendly and the only option that they have suggested is for me to upgrade to a newer phone, which, of course, I would need to pay for!!!
After more than 10 years of being a loyal customer, you have decided to close Tu-Go which was pretty much the only reason why I have decided to stay with your service during all this time.
O2, please allow me to leave my contract free of charge, because, at the end of the day, you have created this situation, and not us, your customers!

I used to use TU Go when overseas. I'd get a local sim, and it was like two phones in my pocket. I could make and receive calls and texts on the local number, and using 4g make and receive calls and texts on my UK via TU go.
The last time I was *bleep* off with O2, I went searching for that, and it seemed no one else offered anything near as good. The WiFi calling that Three and EE had seemed crappy in comparison. This seems to be what o2 has switched to.
