Shared data plans are now here!
We've seen several people here on the community ask about it and we know from our other social media channels like Twitter & Facebook, that there customers who would love to be able to share their data allowances across multiple O2 SIM's, phones or tablets. Well now, you can!
With data allowances from 1GB up to 20GB, and with the ability to share data with up to 10 devices, you can customise your sharer plans to suit your family.
How can I get it?
To get a sharer plan, you’ll need a phone or tablet on an O2 Refresh tariff with 1GB or more of data. This will be your lead device. It doesn’t have to be on a new contract – just give us a call or come and see us in store to share your current data allowance. You'll soon be able to do this online via My O2 too - we'll let you know when.
Once you’ve got your lead device, you can then add up to nine other phones, tablets or sims to share its data allowance. If you already have additional devices that you want to add to a sharer plan, you can add them as soon as they’re out of contract.
To find out more, speak to an advisor in your local O2 store.

We've discussed this many times and its good that O2 have now introduced it especially for youngsters and their parents. Seems they all have smartphones these days.

I have to say I'm very disappointed by the plan. I was hoping to use my 20GB plan, and then to somehow request new sim for my nexus 7 LTE device and then link it to my plan. This isn't possible without me further buying a monthly data plan. I honestly don't see the point, or at least for what I'd like it to be. O2 can you re-review?

Hi
you don't pay extra to use the sharer part - it's just set up as part of the refresh tariff if eligible.
